To continue my best dressed series!
This recipe was posted in the Oct. issue of Floridian View Magazine by yours truly.
Warm Bacon Dressing:
- 6 slices bacon diced
- 1 red onion, finely sliced
- 3 cloves of fresh garlic chopped
- 3/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup good olive oil
- 2 tablespoons raw sugar
- Kosher Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 4 green onions, finely sliced
Heat sauté pan over high heat. Add bacon and cook until almost crisp. Remove bacon from the pan and drain on paper towels. Dispose of all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat. Add red onions and garlic and cook until soft. Remove pan from heat, add vinegar, olive oil, sugar and reserved bacon. Garnish with the green onion and serve warm!
this is dressing delish simply spread on a good piece of bread! But try it on any kind of salad and you will be in heaven.
